Varenna

mt. 220 asl - about 850 inhabitants.
Varenna is a little town situated in the Lecco side of the lake.
Originated in Roman epoque, still preserves appealing attestations of the past. It has been an important centre for marble work, and now is one of the most famous locations for tourism and relax.
Here there is a very interesting birds museum, where are shown many local species.
